The Inner Ecology Program
Building our capacity to navigate a complex world.
-
We live in an age of high stress, constant change, and information overload.
Inner Ecology is a nature-based experiential learning program designed to develop our capacity to meet these demands with greater awareness, regulation, clarity and intention.
The program includes four sequential workshops that bring together guided nature immersion, embodied practices, facilitated reflection and take-home exercises.
Informed by eco-psychology, neuroscience, and land-based learning methods.
-
Workshop 1: PAUSE — Regulate and ground
Interrupt information overload, restore attention and cultivate grounding.Workshop 2: FEEL — Listen inwardly and outwardly
Recognise sensation and emotion as information and develop greater emotional awareness.Workshop 3: PROCESS — Make meaning
Integrate information and experience, identify patterns and create space for reflection.Workshop 4: RESPOND — Choose intentionally
Translate awareness into action, adaptation or acceptance according to the situation. -
Nature is not simply the setting for the program. It is part of the learning methodology.
Natural environments provide opportunities to slow down, restore attention, engage the senses, gain perspective and observe the principles of adaptation, interdependence and regeneration at work.
Participants don't simply learn about these concepts. They experience them.
-
Each workshop will be delivered as a two-hour, in-person, facilitated session with take-home materials and resources.
All equipment and resources needed for the workshop will be provided.
