Mission

Society of Trees’ delivers transformative nature-based experiences that empower people and organizations to rise to their potential, sustainably.

Monica Sander Burns is the founder and director of Society of Trees, an organization delivering transformative nature-based experiences that empower people and organizations to rise to their potential, sustainably.

Monica first encountered the practice of Nature Immersion during Covid lockdowns in the forests around her home in British Columbia, Canada. Despite the chaos and uncertainty, her nature immersion practice kept her grounded and instilled an unwavering serenity.

In 2021, she was certified as Forest Therapy Guide with the Global Institute of Forest Therapy (GIFT) and has been facilitating nature-based programs ever since.

Today, Monica offers her signature Nature Immersion programs in both Sydney, Australia and Whistler, Canada.

Her work has been featured on Netflix, Condé Nast Traveller, BC Global News, and The Weekend Australian, reflecting her growing influence in the field of nature-based wellbeing.
